Just Your Typical Super Spy
New Stories:
Just Your Typical Super Spy is a new series from GNBooks about a girl named Alayna with a more then curious past.
Just Your Typical Super Spy (Book 1):
“Never! Never! You can try all you want but I will never tell.”
“Well with that encouragement, let’s get started shall we?”
*
I’m Alayna and I’m not really sure how I got to this point. One minute I’m sitting in my room doing schoolwork and the next- there's an amazingly attractive guy knocking on my window.
Two hours and a plane ride later I end up here with a man telling me I’m being followed.
I was rushed around to about twenty rooms before I landed here and all I’m looking for now are some answers.
Fire and Ice: Mission Number One (Book 2):
Alayna is back and ready to go! How will her first undercover mission mix with her new life? Will she fail and fall into the hands of the enemy? Or will she continue to stand near the top of the super spy list in a world like none she’s ever seen before?
*
“What, you think I’m ‘unable’ to go into the field for undercover work?”
“No, it’s just . . .” Her lip falters.
“You don’t think I’ll continue to be a child like I am now.”
I may be a newbie, but I was trained as a spy and I can do my job. Picking up on people’s unsaid clues- cake!
I sigh. Sometimes being the youngest and best of my incoming, level one peers was not as rewarding as I’d hoped. Apparently the girl who became the youngest spy in the whole organization has to be protected by everyone else- typical.
Top Spy . . . For Now (Book 3):
Alayna has finally made it to the top! Top spy, top student, but what happens when her spy life makes it all plummet? Will she forsake family and friends for her new career? Or will she learn to put it all into the proper place?
*
“So you’re firing me?”
“No, you’re just going to take a slight- break.”
“I save the world. There’s no time for me to ‘take a break’!” I slam my hands down onto the desk.
You know, sometimes I don’t think these people understand what it is I do for them.
I mean sure they survived before I was recruited but they’ve never had someone so successful in, well, ever. Besides, we were on the brink of one of the biggest breakthroughs in a massive case. I had to be here!
Returning To Normal (Book 4):
Alayna has just re-won her title as MVS, most valuable spy, and she can’t wait to be back out in the spy game. But when gadgets, gear, and enemies begin to pile up will she keep her cool? Or will she admit to needing help?
What about all her not-so-secret admirers? Will Alayna let on that she knows or will she continue to enjoy their game?
*
“You really think I’m dumb enough to fall for that classic trick?”
“You did before- didn’t you?” He shrugs.
“That was before I was trained!”
You know, sometimes men are just plain dumb. It’s so irksome when someone can’t understand that you can progress beyond where you first started, but I suppose that could go for anyone. As far as men go- well, they can’t seem to take a hint! What part of ‘I’m not interested because I love my job too much’ do they not understand?
Sometimes, it makes me want to scream.
The Final Blow (Book 5):
“What’re you going to do to me?”
“I’m going to repay you for all the pain you put me through!”
*
I’m Alayna and I just happen to be the top spy in my organization and, consequently, the world. Did I mention that I just turned eighteen?
You’d think there’d be more praise for the youngest spy to become the best, but I find more people I meet want to kill me then have my autograph.
Maybe that’s because my organization isn’t supposed to exist and the people I protect don’t even know it. Or maybe it’s because how many twenty-some-year-old males want to be beaten in their own sport by a girl? Or perhaps it’s because I spend ninety percent of my time destroying would-be terrorists’ plans to murder millions.
Whatever the reason, it’s kind of getting exhausting, but you know what, that’s just how my life goes.

That’s a terrifying thought. But what if an adventure lies behind that glass? That is an opportunity that I will never get again and… I cannot pass up.
